Two-colour observations of RR Lyrae variables
Light curves, periods, ephemerides, and finding charts are presented forfour RR Lyrae stars (SV Volantis, DH Virginis, GS Hydrae, and VXSculptoris) observed in the V and B bands at Sutherland, South Africa. The periods were determined by computer and the mean radii were derivedusing the modified Baade-Wesselink method of Woolley and Savage. Theresults show that the light curve of SV Volantis appears not to repeatfrom cycle to cycle and that the other three stars are ordinary a-typeRR Lyrae variables. The B magnitude of VX Sculptoris is found to befainter than that given in the General Catalog of Variable Stars.
